I am the Pre-K4 teacher at Light the Bay Preschool. I’m extremely excited about the opportunity I’ve been given and to see God manifest in the children at this school. I’m married with six beautiful children and four grandchildren that I absolutely love. Christ and my family are the most important part of my life and I have been truly blessed with the best support system in my teaching career. I obtained my Early Childhood Education Associates Degree from Gateway Technical College. I’ve been teaching Pre-K4 to 1st Grade for 17 years. I have experience working with the A Beka, High Scope, and Montessori curriculum as well as experience teaching students on the Autism Spectrum. All children are special and unique and I am blessed to be able to have the opportunity to make a great impact in each of their lives.
I want to extend the warmest welcome to you and your child. I am a mother of two beautiful children whom I love very much. I worked as a parent volunteer in my children’s preschool where I enjoyed seeing the differences a teacher makes in a child’s life. I obtained an associate’s degree in early childhood education from Los Medanos College and have been teaching Pre-K to twelfth grade for nine years; I also have experience in teaching special needs students. Each child is unique and learns in a different way. As their teacher, it is my job to help the students discover their individuality and to work alongside them to maximize their ability. I want my students to leave my classroom feeling confident that they can apply what they have learned in school to real-life situations.
I am very thankful for this opportunity to be a part of the Preschool as well as Legacy Christian School. I have been married for thirteen years, and am a mother of two young boys. I am committed to God and my family. I enjoy working with children and making an impact in their lives. I believe God has amazing plans for Light the Bay Preschool.
I am very excited about being the Director of Light the Bay Preschool this year and wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself to you. My name is Amber Urias. I have been married to the man of my dreams for sixteen years and have four beautiful children. I have been teaching for fifteen years with experiences that include preschool through eighth grade. I currently have my BA degree in psychology with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy and am certified in early childhood education. I love the Lord and am passionate about following Him and the call that He has placed on my life. I know that God has AMAZING things planned for us this year and I am looking forward to being able to get to know you and your child.
I am very excited to be a part of this great Christian School and I am looking forward to getting to know everyone. I have been teaching children from ages two months to five years old. I am committed to my religion and attend church every Sunday. I’m self-motivated a team player and I plan to implement activities that promote the physical, social and intellectual growth of each child. I will apply the experiences I’ve gained from working with children to the students at Light the Bay Preschool.
I am very excited about this opportunity that the Lord has provided. I have been teaching for many years including preschool, special education and local before and after school programs. I have been married for twenty-five years, and have two beautiful daughters, and a very handsome grandson. I believe that God formed each child in His image with a specific plan in mind. I see a glimpse of God’s reflection in each and every one of the children here at Light the Bay Preschool. I am looking forward to getting to know all of the children and their families.
